In 2008, I sneaked out of school to watch the Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester United in Kitale town. I was in Form Two.
In the 26th minute, Ronaldo scored, and I rose to celebrate with fellow Manchester United fans. I hugged someone, and when we released the embrace, I was shocked to discover I had hugged my History teacher.
"Sakwah," he said, staring at me.
"Yes, Mr. Wafula."
"Sakwah?" he asked again.
"Yes, Mr. Wafula," I responded, my voice barely above a whisper.
He said nothing more until the final whistle....
