Nairobi Nights: Akinyi in the City Lights
The Nairobi rain had just started when Akinyi stepped out of the black Prado outside the rooftop lounge in Westlands. The city lights reflected against the wet streets, glowing gold beneath her heels. Every man near the entrance looked up instinctively.
She knew why.
Her black dress hugged every curve like it had been stitched onto her body itself. Smooth dark skin, soft perfume carrying hints of vanilla and expensive wine, and a slow confident walk that made people stare a second too long. Akinyi was the kind of woman who never begged for attention β attention followed her naturally.
Inside the lounge, the music vibrated low and deep. Afrobeat mixed with slow amapiano rhythms while couples leaned close in candlelit corners.
Then she noticed him.
Tall. Calm. Watching her without trying too hard.
