Moses Wrote Genesis? Wait… What?!

Y’all… so I’m just chilling, reading the Bible, right? 😌📖

And then it hits me: Moses is born in Exodus — fine. Cool. Got it. 👶

But then people say he wrote Genesis. 🤯

Hold up… Moses wasn’t even born yet. How is he writing about Adam and Eve? Noah? Joseph? I literally had to put the Bible down and stare at the ceiling like, “Wait… WHAT?!” 😳🙃

So I rewind my brain ⏪. Let’s think.

Genesis is literally the “before everything” book. Creation, floods, talking snakes, sibling drama… all the chaos before Moses even existed. 🐍🌊👬

And here comes Moses… like, centuries later, and just decides, “Yeah… I got this. I’ll write it.” 😌✍🏽

But then it clicks. Maybe Moses wasn’t living it, okay? Maybe he was like… the ultimate investigative journalist of the Old Testament. 🕵🏽‍♂️💼

He probably got all the scoop from oral histories, family stories, and some divine insider info. Basically, he’s compiling receipts from way back, and God’s like, “Yeah, this looks good.” 📜✨

And I’m just imagining Moses sitting there like:

“Day 1: Let there be light…

Day 2: Wait, how do I explain the firmament without getting sued by future scientists? 🤔

Day 3: Okay, land and plants… boom, done. 🌱”

Also, I can’t stop thinking about the irony: the guy who literally parted the Red Sea and led a nation spends his free time ghostwriting prehistory. 😂🌊✍🏽

So yeah… technically, Moses writing Genesis is like me writing my great-great-grandparent’s life story. I wasn’t there. I didn’t see it. But with enough notes, imagination, and maybe a little divine fact-checking… we make it work. 😌💡

Anyway… I put the Bible down, laughed, and whispered to myself:
