The church fell silent the moment the black convoy arrived.

Sophia Bennett stood at the altar, her hands trembling beneath her white wedding dress. Her father's medical debts had reached a crushing amount.

Loan sharks threatened to take their home. Her younger brother had dropped out of school to work.

Then an offer came.

Marry Adrian Moretti.

The debt would disappear.

Her family would be safe.

She had never met the man.

Not once.

The giant church doors opened.

Six armed bodyguards entered first.

Then the groom.

A tall man dressed in an expensive black suit.

And a black mask covering the upper half of his face.

Whispers spread through the guests.

Sophia's heart pounded.

The priest cleared his throat.

"Mr. Moretti, would you kindly remove your mask?"

The groom's cold gaze swept across the room.

"No."

The answer echoed through the church.

No explanation.

Sophia laughed nervously.

He didn't.

The silence that followed felt dangerous.

The Moretti estate stood on a private mountain overlooking the city.

It resembled a palace more than a home.

Security guards patrolled every entrance.

Cameras covered every wall.

Inside, servants bowed as Adrian entered.

Not respectfully.

Fearfully.

Sophia noticed it immediately.

Everyone feared her husband.

Why?

Her answer came later that night.

She awoke around midnight.

The other side of the bed was empty.

A distant noise echoed through the mansion.

Curious, she followed it.

The sound led downstairs.

Then to a private office.

The door was slightly open.

Voices drifted through.

A trembling man knelt on the floor.

Adrian stood over him.

Still wearing the mask.

"You stole from my family."

The man sobbed.

"Please... I have children."

Adrian's voice remained calm.

"You should have thought of them before betraying us."

Sophia's stomach twisted.

The next words chilled her blood.

"Take him away."

Two guards dragged the man screaming into...
