I didn’t dodge the question — I asked one back: “What do you mean by God?”

Because that word has been used to liberate souls and enslave minds. And I won’t pretend to worship what I don’t know.

Religion as a Tool of Control

Colonizers didn’t just take land — they took belief systems.

They told us our gods were false, our traditions primitive, and salvation could only come through their foreign deity.

Missionaries came with Bibles in hand, preaching love while erasing cultures. Indigenous spirituality was demonized, sacred rituals outlawed.
