💀 CHAPTER 3:
THE SECOND PHONE 💀
The phone in Aisha’s closet wouldn’t stop ringing.
It rang with a low, vibrating hum—like a heartbeat buried in the dark.
Detective Kamau slowly reached for the closet door, gun drawn.
Aisha stood frozen, her breath trembling in her chest.
The ringing stopped.
Silence.
Then—
PING.
A new message appeared on the screen, bright in the darkness:
“HI AISHA. OPEN ME.”
Kamau picked up the phone carefully.
“Aisha… don’t come closer.”
But she was already shaking too badly to move.
He opened the message.
A video started playing.
Aisha’s eyes widened.
Her hand flew to her mouth.
Because the video wasn’t of her home.
It was of her bedroom.
The previous night.
Her asleep.
Blanket rising and falling.
Someone standing over her…
recording her in the dark.
The figure leaned close to the camera and whispered:
“She smells like fear.”
Aisha screamed.

🌑 The Room That Knew Her Name
Kamau called backup immediately, but operators replied breathlessly:
“Sir… no units are available. We’ve just had a mass breakout from the Eastview holding facility.”
Kamau’s jaw tightened.
Aisha stared at him.
“What does that mean?”
He hesitated.
“Your landlord… the original suspect… he escaped with four others. All of them from Block 9.”
Aisha felt her knees go weak.
“There were FIVE of them?”
Kamau nodded slowly.
“And they all think you’re the one who ruined the operation.”
Aisha backed away until she hit the wall....
