On the third night in her new room, Aisha finally drifted into sleep.
But at 2:19 a.m., she woke up gasping.
Someone was whispering in the corner of the room.

Not in her head.
Inside her room.
She reached for the light, but her hand froze halfway.
Because she recognized the voice.
“Aisha… why did you leave me?”
Her heartbeat pounded against her ribs.

He was in jail.
He couldn’t be here.
But the whisper crawled closer, like breath against the back of her neck.
“You can change houses, Aisha… but you can’t escape what you saw.”
She jumped out of bed and flicked the light switch.
The room was empty.
But on the wall, written in dark, dripping strokes, was a message:
