BOYS DESERVE BETTER MEN

In 2024, Kenya recorded 1,011 homicides, with a staggering 70 percent of the victims being men, while women accounted for 30 percent. Equally alarming is that 630 of the identified perpetrators were male compared to just 88 females, with another 149 cases involving unknown offenders who historically also tend to be men. These numbers expose an uncomfortable but undeniable truth: men in Kenya are overwhelmingly being killed by other men. Which brings me to question of why more men are not protesting the violence directed at them by fellow men?

Dear gentlemen you have reached a point where staying silent is no longer strength; it is self-destruction. The culture around masculinity in Kenya has conditioned you to hide vulnerability.
