True story horror story.-part one.
So there is this section in our kambaland that has huge tracks of inhabited land.You can walk for hours without sighting a single home or even another human being.It is actually a no man's land.Si semi ni wapi I know watu wa ploti magutamaguta mnaeza nyakua.You know how the lands here usually are.Unless you are near hills or rivers,the land is always dry.The only green lands are found near and around mutito hill,ikoo river banks,thua banks and a few other places the rest of the terrain is usually dry during the dry season,very dry.
This land has a dry almost barren hill at its centre and due to its large size,no one has ever gone to that hill.We just used to graze around the Hegde of the land.Although I said earlier that the land was dry,remember dry in ukambani does not mean barren.Trees are always there, indigenous huge trees like mikame,matula among others.The thicket may be so dense such that getting into such a 'forest' may become suicidal.
Now,there used to be rumours that the hill at the heart of this land had all sorts of minerals,from mercury to pure gold.Pure.It was also said that this hill used to be a shrine way back.People would go there to offer sacrifices to their gods and all those precious minerals were always seen as the property of the gods.No one had ever picked the precious stones.It was also rumoured that a certain guy picked some stones and that was the last time he was seen.Some said the gods took him,others say he just vanished into thin air.The truth? No one knows.So this one day we decided to try our luck.Powered by poverty and youth we planned our journey to that hill.We were determined to get rich by all means.By 'we' I mean three of my friends and I.Making a total of four people.I was the only lady.We planned well.
Water,check.✅
Food,check.✅
Enough bags to carry whatever it is we would find,check✅
Everything else for the journey,check✅,check✅.
