Patrick Dorgu has confused me for an entire season and I still don't have answers. 😭
Watch him at left back — something doesn't quite fit. Too aggressive going forward. Too unpredictable defensively. You think — he's not really a fullback is he.
Move him to left wing — still something slightly off. Not polished enough in tight spaces. Not consistent enough with the final ball. You think — he's not really a winger either.
Then out of absolutely nowhere he hits a 30 yard thunderbolt into the top corner and produces a performance that makes you forget every question you ever asked about him. 😂
This is the Dorgu experience.
Too attacking for left back. Not quite refined enough for left wing. Somehow chaotic and devastating at exactly the same time.
I've watched him all season and I still can't put him in a box.
At this point his position is just — footballer. Put him on the pitch and let him work it out himself. 😭
