We finally found another house.

Luckily, we still had some money that helped us move out.

It wasn't a fresh start with everything figured out.

We were still struggling.

But at least we had somewhere to go.

We packed our things and moved.

Honestly, I remember feeling relieved.

Not because life had suddenly become easy…

But because we had escaped another difficult situation.

We had a roof over our heads again.

And for me, at that time, that was enough.

I just wanted to breathe.

I wanted to take care of my children.

And somehow find a way to keep going.

Things became lighter for about one week.

We had remained with a few coins after moving into the new house.

So for that short time, I felt a little relieved.

At least we had moved.

At least we had a roof over our heads.

I thought maybe things would slowly get better.

But the money didn't last.

And after that one week…

reality started coming back.

The coins were gone.

The struggles were still there.

My husband was still jobless.

I was still trying to make Facebook work.

And we still had two children depending on us.

That little relief only lasted for one week.

The struggle with food continued as usual.

There was no sudden change.

No miracle.

We were still struggling to survive.

At some point, I had to call my mother-in-law and ask her to send me some maize, flour and beans to help us survive.

I honestly had no other option.

I was trying to feed my children, but I was also struggling to feed myself.

I was becoming thinner and thinner.

I wasn't eating well.

Sometimes I would just eat whatever was available.

And sometimes, there simply wasn't enough.

I had spent so much time choosing my children and forgetting myself.

But my body was now showing me the price of that sacrifice.

After my mother-in-law sent me the food, I felt a little relieved.

At least I knew we had something to eat.

But honestly…

the other struggles continued.

My Facebook monetization was still struggling.

The earnings were still low.

And the phone…

the phone kept locking as usual.

Every time I failed to make the payment, I knew what would happen.

The phone would be locked.

Then I would struggle to find money to unlock it.

Sometimes I managed.

Sometimes I simply left it locked.

It had become a cycle.

I was trying to earn through Facebook.

But I needed money to keep the phone working.

And I had no stable income.

So even when food became a little easier, life was still far from okay.

I continued with Facebook monetization.

Even though the earnings were still low and the phone kept locking…

I refused to give up.

At the same time, I was also applying for remote jobs.

I applied for almost 10,000 remote jobs.

Yes…

almost 10,000.

I was looking for anything I could do from home.

But I had no laptop.

I had no Wi-Fi.

I only had my phone.

So I kept looking for remote jobs I could do using my phone.

Every day, I searched.

I applied.

I waited.

And sometimes, I applied again.

I was trying to find a way to make money while still taking care of my children.

I was tired, but I was desperate to change our life.

I didn't want to keep surviving on luck.

I wanted something stable.

Something that could help me take care of my family.

So I kept searching.

But honestly…

none of them communicated with me.

Not even one.

But I was not ready to lose hope.

I knew sometimes things just happen that way.

Maybe the right opportunity had not found me yet.

So I kept applying.

I kept searching.

And I continued with Facebook monetization.

I had no laptop.

I had no Wi-Fi.

I only had my phone.

But I still believed something would eventually work out.

I had already survived so much.

I wasn't about to give up now.

I continued applying.

Again and again.

But still…

no response.

I would apply for a job and wait.

Nothing.

I would find another one and apply.

Still nothing.

My inbox remained quiet.

But I kept searching.

I kept applying.

I was not ready to give up.

I knew sometimes things happen that way.

Maybe the opportunity I needed was just taking time to find me.

So I continued.

For a while, it was the same routine.

I would wake up.

Take care of my children.

Continue with Facebook monetization.

Search for remote jobs.

Apply.

And wait.

But nothing changed.

No response.

No job.

No stable income.

The phone still locked whenever I failed to pay.

And the little earnings from Facebook were still not enough.

But I kept doing the same thing.

Because I had no other option.

I kept believing that maybe one day, something would finally work.

I just didn't know…

how long I would have to wait.

Nothing changed.

The struggles were there every single day.

I would wake up and face the same reality.

My husband was still jobless.

My earnings were still low.

The phone still locked whenever I failed to pay.

And every day, I was still looking for a way to survive.

I continued applying for remote jobs.

I continued with Facebook monetization.

But nothing seemed to change.

It was the same struggle, every single day.

Some days I felt tired.

Some days I felt overwhelmed.

But I still woke up the next day and continued.

Because giving up was never an option for me.

I had my children.

I had my family.

And somehow…

I had to keep going.
