My name is Abdi. After finishing Form Four, life was not easy. I came from a humble family, and like many young men, I had dreams of joining college and building a bright future. However, because of financial challenges, I had to put my dreams on hold and look for any job that could help me survive.During that period, I met a beautiful girl named Sheila. We were young and deeply in love. We promised each other a future together and believed nothing could separate us. A year later, Sheila became pregnant. Though we were scared, I accepted responsibility and promised to stand by her and our unborn child.When our son was born, I was overwhelmed with joy. Holding him in my arms for the first time gave me a reason to work even harder. I wanted to become the father I never had.
