I fell, tumbling through an endless blackness that seemed to stretch and compress all at once. There was no air, no sound, yet Jimmy’s laughter echoed in my ears, threading itself into my thoughts like a parasite. My stomach lurched as I hit the ground—if it was ground. It felt neither solid nor liquid, but something in between, shifting and pulsating under my weight.

The darkness around me began to change, faint tendrils of light slithering through the void. They didn’t illuminate; they revealed, casting a sickly green hue on the shapes emerging from the black. Walls—not of stone or wood, but of flesh, wet and glistening—rose around me. Veins pulsed across their surface, carrying a dark, viscous fluid that hummed with a sinister rhythm.

I pushed myself up, my hands slick with whatever coated the ground. My breathing was ragged, every inhale tasting of rot and decay. The air was heavy with it, and I could feel it settling in my lungs like damp earth.

A sound came from behind me—a wet squelch, followed by a dragging noise. Slowly, I turned, my heart pounding so v!olentIy I thought it might shatter.
