Something Good Is Cooking
The first day of college was crowded.
There were many students around the admission area, each one seemingly carrying their own expectations, fears, and dreams.
I looked around at the crowd and thought to myself:
Something good is cooking here.
I felt strangely calm.
I was excited, but I wasn't panicking. I had spent so much time imagining this moment that, when it finally arrived, I simply wanted to enjoy it.
I hoped everything would run smoothly.
Fortunately, it did.
Despite the large number of students, the admission process went well. Before long, I had officially become a college student.
That feeling was difficult to explain.
There was excitement in it.
There was relief.
And there was the quiet realization that the life I had been waiting for had finally started.
