The matte-black Mercedes-Benz AMG idled smoothly outside Block C, its dark tinted windows completely hiding who was inside. As Amina approached, the passenger door swung open, releasing a wave of cool air conditioning and the familiar, rich scent of Brayo’s cologne.
"Ingia upesi, msupa," Brayo said from the driver’s seat. He wasn't wearing his flashy club clothes today. Instead, he wore a simple black hoodie pulled low, and his expression was dead serious.
Amina slid into the leather seat, the door closing with a solid, expensive thud that shut out the noisy campus environment. Before she could even say hello, Brayo threw the car into reverse and sped out of the JKUAT gate, turning onto the Thika Superhighway.
"Unapenda simu?" Brayo asked, not taking his eyes off the road.
"Ehh, ni nzuri sana. Asante tena," Amina said, clutching her purse. "Lakini, Brayo... kwani leo hatuendi ile bash ya Gate A? Sharon alisema uko na VIP plot huko."
Brayo let out a dry, humorless laugh. "Hiyo ni ya watoto, Amina. Sisi tunaenda Kileleshwa
