The ballroom erupted into confusion when the lights went out.
Amelia felt Adrian's hand immediately tighten around hers.

A loud crash came from somewhere behind them.
People screamed.

“Take my wife upstairs.”
Amelia immediately objected.
“No.”

“I said I'm staying with you.”
“You're going upstairs.”
