So when she walked into his room, Itopa quickly stood up from his bed, where he had been lying with his laptop while still thinking about what he had just witnessed when he wanted to go and get water from the kitchen. He then asked Janet’s friend, who had just walked into his room, what the problem was.
Then the lady told him that there was nothing too serious and that she just wanted to have a brief conversation with him. Itopa adjusted himself while sitting on the bed and made himself vigilant so that he would not fall for any other trick from her too.
Then he said to her that if that was the case, they should move to the living room instead of staying in his room. The lady replied that if it was something she would have wanted to discuss in the living room, she would have called him over instead of coming to his room.
After the clarification, Itopa offered her a seat on the bed. After she sat down, Itopa greeted her once more and asked her what she wanted to discuss with him.
Then she adjusted herself and told him that it was about her friend, Janet.
With the mindset that Janet would never share the relationship between the both of them with anyone, not even a female friend who could cause problems between them if there was any little issue, Itopa asked her what had happened.
The girl told him that nothing had happened to her other than the love she had for him, which seemed impossible to work out simply because she was married to his father.
Immediately after she said that, Itopa tried to clarify things to her. He told her that Janet was married to his father and that the two of them were deeply in love despite all the circumstances and everything that could make their love impossible to work out, such as their age difference, life experiences, and so many other things. According to him, they lived happily together and dealt with whatever issues they had.
The girl smiled at him and asked him whether, if he caught his own mother with someone else in the same manner the delivery person caught him and Janet together days ago, would he still say that his mother loved his father despite all the circumstances.
The question hit him so hard that he couldn't find an answer to give her. At the same time, he couldn't help but start shedding tears.
